English Language - Muslim Audience

The start of true Islam is to use the mind. But today our start as Muslims seems to have become to remove the mind. And instead we copy sheikhs.

Bismillah My experiences with a mosque i have been visiting recently (in the uk). Overall it is positive alhamdulilah (thank God). Basically those with influence have recognized that the root of our problem are our imams ( those who lead prayers and give sermons). This is a major step for any mosque to realize. From this realization they then brought in a younger imam full of love and goodness. Who started teaching about love instead of propagating fear which those useless imams do mostly. Because they don't know love i think. Maybe no one loved them (or very few). I won't even point out that the young imam speaks English while that imported one doesn't. That's a given unfortunately and quite common i think. And it is more a reflection of the intellect of the mosque committee than the imams themselves. Because they choose those people and bring them in.My feelings are that mosque committees are mainly comprised of older generations that are stuck in the past but l...

The blind men and the elephant. Very important story to learn to look at the whole picture. Get all the arguments, then decide. Each touches one part and thinks that's what an elephant is.

The good thing is that all the evil that is going on in this world will end and there will be a day of justice for all the oppressed. Not one oppressed person will be left out. My belief. All that is going on is just a film that will end. But we are actors inside this film. Currently acting. So we are in a film and this film will end. Peace

Funny story today happened at the mosque after prayers. An old man came to me telling me how important it is to do sunna prayers (extra prayers that aren't compulsory) and how important to cover the hair is for men when praying. And that the situation of the Muslims is bad because we stopped caring about such small issues. And he mentioned that this is also why muslims lost Spain. The strange thing is that many muslims, especially elderly ones, believe this. This is the sad reality and reflects how shallow our thinking and depth of understanding of Islam is. It was not easy to reply back to him. He was so convinced. The main point i wanted to give back to him is that it's fine if he believes this. I don't mind. But don't try to impose your view on others just because you are so convinced. The problem is that there is a major issue that many of us are grossly ignorant of I believe. Bismillah I am aware that this title seems very strange and some Muslims may think i have committed kufr by saying it but lend me your mind for a bit and then decide. And if you can make it an open mind too please. This statement is like that of sheikh Yusuf AlQardawi ( head of the European Muslim scholars council i believe) who said Freedom comes before Islam i believe. It's also similar to the statement that says before you become a Muslim you need to be a human. Consider this scenario: Say you are in an age where Islam hasn't come down yet to a certain society on earth. So their region (or way of life) will not be Islam but something else. And assume they are good and fair people and their society is composed of different factions and religions and races etc. How will they be able to live peacefully on the same peace of land and as one society and nation? The many benefits of the Turkey coup attempt: 1- Showed us how brave the Turks are and how much they value their freedom. 2- Showed us how much hateful living under a military coup is. To the extent that people are happy to die preventing it coming. 3- Shows who the traitors are and enables the Turks to clean their country from them. 4- Breaths a new sense of life to the country making it stronger than before. 5- Rewards for those who died removing it in heaven and rewards for the injured too. 6- Showed how brave their elected leader is. 7- The world can learn about the importance of democracy and freedom.
