Beware of Shaykh Ahamd Dabbagh of Bolton UK

Unfortunately i have to give a warning about this shaykh. Although he seems very knowledgable and englitghtened, unfotunately he has no living Shaykhs and so he believes that dead shaykhs only have been guiding him and teaching him. It is possible that dead shaykhs can teach living people (eg shaykh Ahmad Alharoon of Syria was taught by shaykh ibn Arabi) but they are very special people, eg they have karamat and scholars would visit them and be impressed by their knowledge. But with this shaykh he also believes he is the top Saint (Wali) and so thinks he is unique etc, so he is a loner i believe. So beware. His mureeds are a bit weird too. I went to their mosque (madina masjid in Bolton, uk) and they basically just want you to join them if you already have a shaykh and are on a tareeqa. Very weird behaviour. This means that although he may have good knowledge that he isnt ready to teach and train mureeds. Hence his mureeds are not v good mannered etc. This video about his legacy (...

My main advice to the Muslims in 2020

Bismillah Dear Muslims. From what I’ve seen (living in the uk) I think our main problem is to do with the internal picture of Allah that we have within ourselves. In general I believe it’s not a good one. ie it doesn’t reflect the true Allah. It is instead a very distorted representation of Allah unfortunately. How is this representation? I think it’s one that is marked by fear mainly. I think unfortunately we have a picture of him like a demon or very angry lord. Someone who just wants his creatures to obey him but he isn’t able to achieve that. So he becomes more angry. Obviously not all Muslims carry this view but I think this one is quite common unfortunately. Fear becomes the main driver to religious actions.  Why do we have this distorted demon like view of Allah swt ?  I think the answer is that mainly of our sheiks are themselves demon like unfortunately. And so they picture Allah to be like them. And they then project this distorted picture to us during Friday sermons...

The Story of the Muhammadi Muslims So far

I am using Muhammadi to label the Muslims of prophet Muhammed pbuh as in Muhammadi Islam (MI) all prophets were Muslim. Jesus was a Muslim, Abraham, Moses , Noah , Adam etc all were Muslim (meaning submitting or surrender their will to the Divine's). So in  MI, the Jesus-led Muslims changed their holy text (eg making Jesus a son/god) and became known as Christians, whilst Moses-led Muslims also changed their texts and became known as Jews. In MI ,the holy book has been protected from change (and this may be a signal that it is the last communication before judgement day, and that it is for all mankind). This way of seeing Islam is a bit confusing but I believe it is closest to the truth, because all of the Divine's messengers and prophets were submitters (ie Muslim), including their original followers. So Islam is the universal faith of the Divine (ie that the Divine has sent down for mankind). So now, what has happened to MI and Muhammadan Muslims (MM). The Divine sent its ...

The correct way to bring Islam in politically

This is by recognizing that a secular state is a just and fair type of state for people to live in. ie people can set up any political thought party they want (pro or anti islamic). And people can have any beliefs they want. The only thing is that all must be loyal to the nation state, working to advance and progress it from all angles (economic, defense, education, health , industrial etc). The people can choose democratically any party of any belief set to rule (Muslim or non muslim). The role of Muslim thinkers is to call society to embrace muslim thinking and if society does respond a Muslim party may get elected that also believes in secularism and democracy. Old fashion muslim parties that want a type of dictatorship should not be voted in. Also there should be complete freedom of belief. So if a muslim leaves islam they are free to do so. There is no verse in the quran to suggest otherewise. Plus the prophet pbuh himself let a Sahabi leave islam without doing anything to him....

Where things are heading for Muslims these days

In the West more racism i think. With Corona and a possible recession they are likely to be marginalized more. So in general things will not be very good for them. Moreover there are changes happening in the world where Turkey is stepping up and rising as a new power. This should give rise to more respect to Muslims. But also there will be some factions of society that will hate muslims more for this. The christian muslim divide will be more and racists will become more religiously bigoted. Basically its going to be a tough time i think. The effect of Corona however will be making people more spiritual i think. This should have a good effect. So i think strange times are coming.

My Message to the Muslims of Today

Oh Muslims it is now time to understand how we have been failing. So that we can rise up once again and contribute to human progress. So far we have been failing miserably except in two places, Turkey and Malaysia. These two places, and especially Turkey, have been showing great signs of revival and growth as well as prosperity , despite the attempts of the outside powers to push them down (eg the failed CIA coup attempt recently in Turkey). So let us learn from these countries and see what is in common with them that has led to this prosperity and strength. You will not see any wahabi/salafi influence on their ideas. Instead they are close to Sufism. There is more mercy and gentleness in the hearts of these peoples. They are closer to love of humanity and further away from hate and feelings of superiority. Their political systems are not based on dictatorship but secular and democratic. They are inclusive and give freedom to parties of all types...

Problems with current thinking of many muslim political parties today like Brotherhood and hizb-ut-tahrir and others

Problems with current thinking of many muslim political parties today like Brotherhood and hizb-ut-tahrir and others: They think that our duty as muslims in our societies is to implement islam politically and ensure Allah swt’s laws are implemented at a state level. My view is that our duty is to implement Islam on ourselves first. This will then lead to the correct communal response I believe. Here is how : As civilians in a state or country we will want to live such that we are not humiliated but respected and valued in our countries. Not threatened by the regime etc. But the reality is that we have despots ruling in our regions so we need to think about what to do to improve things. Firstly threatening the despots isn’t going to help things. They will just learn to work harder to oppress us. Especially if they know we want to put someone else in power other than them. So instead we need to see if we can go to a middle ground where we can make improvements to our condition. Witho...
