What type of religion is Islam ?


When a religion is empty of spirit it becomes ugly and wooden. But when Spirit is infused in it it can become beautiful. Especially if the spirit is related to love.
But love is so far from our minds with regards to Islam these days I believe. It's been kicked out by strict talk and about how obedient one should be. So it's become all about following rules instead of learning about Divine love.
We don't realise that it is love that is the driver for human potential. We have been tricked and duped into believing that it's just obedience. And we have been tricked into believing that the Divine needs our obedience. Our sheikhs and imams are the fitna (problem) today in general. Because they teach us a fake islam. Based on ugliness and ignorance.
Once we awake to this we can learn about true Islam. Muhammadi islam. Rather than the islam manufactured by poisonous sheikhs for political ends to please their rulers and keep the masses in fear and under control.
Will the muslims awake to this ?
I don't know.

An example of the uselessness and deep ignorance in some of our imams (leaders).
I challenge them to debate on an issue and they say no your are ignorant and we don't debate with ignorant people. And they quote a saying that when you debate an ignorant person then they can defeat you !
This is the intellectual level of at least one Muslim imam.
They are basically cowards who cannot defend their viewpoints and so can only resort to such weak reasons to defend their pathetic minds.

What is Religion and how is it meant to Operate ?

Religion first of all is about thinking and questioning why we are here on this planet and in this existence. Once we know why we can then choose to live in the appropriate way in accordance with those reasons. The word choose is important cos we have been given free choice (God has given us this). So we can choose not to if we like too. This search for truth starts with is there really a higher power that created us and everything? (The one we call God or Allah or Jehovah etc). If we find that there really is such a power then we can ask about it. What is its nature. Why has it sent our souls here, to this planet and put us in the bodies that we are in. What is the point?
